Music Pizza?
Always wanted to make that. Not sure how you do it, but I'll come up with something one day.
I felt strange sitting down at the piano after not playing in almost two weeks. I messed around with some tunes of my own for a while then started thinking of songs i used to play all the time. I cracked open an old piano binder and stared at the sheet music to a duet me and my sister used to do years ago; Morning has Broken. I looked at my part and was so lost. I checked the notes sight read for the first 5 bars, then all of a sudden, I was finished the entire piece. And what surprised me was that after the first line I hadn't checked the sheet music once! I didn't know any of the notes I was playing, my fingers were doing all the work. So I decided to play a Ludovico Einaudi piece that I had learned almost 6 months ago. I don't have any sheet music to this one so I really had to start from scratch. I couldn't even remember how it all was supposed to sound but, again, it was like my fingers had a mind of their own! So cool! I found that every song that I could think of, I could just play without thinking about it.
The following picture has nothing to do with this blog post.
It creeps me out now, because I get this mental image of little brains in every one of my fingertips. I'm so going to miss playing when I'm in university..

Holy Cow
If you take those two words literally and make some lame-ass dad joke about how a cow can't be holy, then I'm going to have to...
... Sue you. Because that's just what everyone's doing these days. Did you know that a thief broke into this families home while they were away for a weekend and somehow got locked in the garage where there was no food or water? Yea, he stayed there and starved all weekend and when the family got back, he sued them! And guess what. The world of justice is soo messed up that this robber guy actually won the case.
A lady ordered a coffee at McDonalds. Not an iced coffee, a legit hot coffee. Then she accidentally dumped it on herself and got burned. Muffin. She won that court case too. And that's why there is all kinds of "CAUTION: HOT" warnings all over the cups now.
So in the true questioning words of the beginning of a terrible song by American Idols own Jennifer Hudson, I ask "WORLD, WHY?"
... At least I think that's what it says.
Anyway, why is everyone so obsessed with money these days? Just buddy up to some billionair's great grandchild who will inherit all of it and your set! Ha, I'm totally kidding.
Ps. I think that song is called "If this isn't love" if you want to check out the introduction. It makes me and my sister laugh and quote it.

Let's Talk About Se.......ne kids
Yes, yes I realize there's a spelling error in the title, I don't really care.
But the thing that annoys me the most is that a lot of scene kids think they invented some of the music they listen to. If they find one of their Non-scene friends likes one of their songs, they take credit for finding it and literally act like they wrote it. And if a song ever gets popular, then all of a sudden it sucks and the band becomes a sell out. UGH drives me up the wall..
Speaking of walls,
No we really weren't speaking of walls. So I'm just going to go.
I know you're DYING to know the difference between Scene hair and Emo hair. So I'll post a link to help you out so you NEVER confuse a scene kid with a emo kid. Man, that scene kid would be so angry, they would probably smack you with their huge, saggy earlobe that they stretched out with a bike tire.

Last Thoughts
Ever feel like your standing still? Yeah, me either!.. ever. Life is just a blur
When I look at my friends lives, though, I really am standing still, for now anyway. Some have moved out and are living on their own, another one has just got a promotion, then one of my best friends just got dumped while another bestie just got engaged! (Shh... I'm not supposed to tell, she's only 18!). Other friends are off to different universities all across Canada. Quite proud of them really. But sadly, none of my pals that I have grown up with are going to MY university
I feel weird when old people watch me put sugar in my coffee. It's like they give you the evil eye if you put more than a half a teaspoon of sugar in it. Maybe that's just my own suspicion. If I'm being completely honest, I HATE black coffee with a passion. Lots and LOTS of sugar. Actually at work, me and my buddy Adam figured that in one large styrofoam cup there should be two creamers and 5-6 packets of sugar. That way, you can hardly tell that its coffee! Haha
Funerals are really no fun. But the after gathering is somehow always more sweet than bitter. Everyone is just happy with remembering the person who died and usually there's a lunch. At this lunch there's always pickles. And I don't know if its the state of mind your in at the funeral or what, but those are always the BEST pickles you will ever eat! And tea. Always tea. The best tea you will ever drink. This is true for all events that happen at our community hall, but they still carry the title Funeral Pickles.
This is the last random thought, I promise!
When I was swaying in the wind on top of a very uneven scissor lift, watching two tornados come down out of the clouds and barely scrape the ground, I was thinking; Who ever thought of direction? And has it always been there? And now I'mm thinking, What if I would have died right there? The lift fall down and crunch me like a bug. Wow. What an AWESOME last thought. Hahaha...
I'm not going to bother explaining the sushi pics.
And also, at my funeral there better be Funeral Pickles.

Hey Future Jory, I know your probably pissed at me right now for absolutely failing at this whole "Post Everyday of the Summer" thing but I just don't have enough time! How did Past Jory not see this one coming..
Working some of my last days at Complete Body Workout.. (like I would refer to my job as its actual title, ha!). And sometime before the 30th I have to get all my stuff together. And by that I really do mean ALL my stuff. Finally completely moving out after nearly 19 years of being under the close watch of my parents. You have NO idea how excited I am about this! And no idea how absolutely opposite of excited my parents are. Well I shouldn't say that. My mom is pumped for me and my sister to be headed off to the same school she went to, my dad is a little less than enthusiastic on losing his girls. He is demanding we slow our social lives down so we "don't get into any bad habits for the fall"... I can accurately quote this because I get the same speech every day. Twice a day. And more today for my behavior this weekend. Went out three nights. But who cares? I drove on Friday, had fun on Saturday and was home by 11:30 on Monday. I wasn't late for work or dragging my butt instead of working. Oh well... I guess he's gotta deal with it somehow, I'll miss him no matter what. And my little brother. Its the greatest feeling to know someone looks up to you. A real compliment.
My grandparents are here. Me and Jen had a big talk with Gram. Like two hours! Haha she's really adapted to our sense of humor and is starting to pick up on some of our "young person lingo". She kept telling us all about the "lovely young, clean cut chaps" that she's met. We just laugh, as long as the guy is polite and keeps up with his hair, Gram's won over. Oh, and he has to eat. And eat. And eat. This is why she loves my friend Nick. Because he eats all her food. Hahaha, seriously he is her favorite.
Going to bed now, bye!
P.s. BRUISES.
I painted that.
